Manzanita is an independent school located in Topanga Canyon, just outside of Los Angeles, California. Manzanita was founded to provide the community a necessary counterpoint to the institutions and models available to educate our children. There has never been a more critical time to nurture the genius in our youth. The 21st century needs committed and dedicated young people, capable of becoming fully engaged in their lives. Our students connect to the earth, to each other, and to themselves. They develop their inborn gifts and capacities in a powerful and nurturing community of mentorship.
