We are a non-profit where a licensed teacher works together with equines and children to create a very special learning environment to practice reading, writing, math, and social skills. Our program is based on the Horse Powered Reading Curriculum, created by Michele Pickel, Ph.D., a Professor of Education at Concordia University, St. Paul. We work with your child's individual needs to address an academic area that they may need some extra TLC with. Using research based methods, we can help with decoding and sight words, fluency and speed (reading more smoothly), and comprehension. Through experiential learning, we can also address communication and social skills to develop skills that can generalize into everyday life situations.
