In January 2010, several families joined together to pray for God's will concerning the establishment of a Christian school in Abingdon. They sought to establish a school that would be academically rigorous yet biblically sound. The mission of Cornerstone Christian Academy (CCA) is to prepare children to go into the world and make a difference. We believe that in order to fulfill God's calling on their lives, CCA students need to be prepared to think creatively, reason logically and write persuasively. Cornerstone Christian Academy was incorporated in 2010 and obtained non-proft 501(c)(3) status. A board of directors was selected to establish a school of excellence that will provide Biblical and academic training for children.
